FRAN’S CANCER
It has been four years that Fran has been living with the dread of lung cancer. At this stage of our lives, neither of us is good at remembering dates. However, I have been keeping a journal, and referring to it, I see that the first entry was April 18, 2007. It noted that Fran had a mammogram a couple weeks before, and the doctor saw a spot on the x-ray, wanted Fran to have a CT scan, and a nodule was found on the right lung.
And so it began.
